Description
- Is a controlled environment chamber, for the administration of an exact oxygen amount to the infants & in a specific concentration.
- Usually used with heated nebulizer / humidifier to maintain adequate humidity and temperature.
- The oxygen concentration is controlled by adjusting the flow rate. Tests show that O2 concentrations above 97% are reached in 4 minutes with a cap in a 40% oxygen environment.
- No space sealing or plastic wrap is required on the baby’s neck to maintain high O2 concentrations.
- Easily removed & allows direct access to the baby’s head with minimal disturbance of the surrounding environment, while the supply of O2 does not blow directly to the baby.
- The round shape of the cover takes up minimal space in the cot. Available also in square shape.
- It is made of clear plastic for complete visibility.
- The smaller round cover has expansion sections without lids, in order to maintain high oxygen concentrations. It is necessary to use an extension under heating devices or in constant access to the newborn’s head.
- Easy to clean and disinfect with simple plastic detergents.
- Can be used with a heated humidifier, air / oxygen mixer or any flow meter.
